ATTENTION CRAFT NINJAS: Craft Night is henceforth moved until further notice to 8PM on Wednesday nights. This change is due to the fact that no one really arrives until 8PM anyhow, and it gives me thirty extra minutes to flit about the house nuts (what I do when I"m alone).
Tomorrow night will be a group craft night (those uninterested can still do whatever they want, but this will be fun, promise.) Beth is going to demonstrate a fast, cheap, and easy method of screen-printing for those of you (and me) who don't know about emulsion or have no real money. We'll provide some of the materials, but you must bring the following:
black and white image (for design)
embroidery hoop (big enough to fit around design)
big black Sharpie marker
The hoop, which can be purchased at any craft store or found at a thrift store, should be bigger than the design, which should fit in it. The big sharpie (or whatever big marker) is also a must. With these in hand, you will be able to make a suitable stencil for making t-shirts, patches, what have you. Fucking wow!
So, come tomorrow bearing supplies. Beth and I will supply modge-podge and screen. Call 466-7813 if you have any questions.
